Hello, I'm Sandy
My name is Sandra Millburn, although many people know me as Sandy. Thank you for the opportunity to tell you a bit about myself and the services I offer.
The wonderful thing about choosing a ceremony with a celebrant is how much of it can be personalised. There are many ways we can shape the celebration to reflect who you are.
Whether you know exactly what you want and just need someone to help bring it to life, or you are just beginning to plan and need help knowing where to start, I can help.
I bring creativity, strong organisational skills and a genuine love of helping people. I am naturally an ideas person and a problem solver. My goal is a ceremony that reflects you as a couple, with as little stress and as much joy, warmth and excitement as possible.
Feeling comfortable with your celebrant matters
I strongly believe you should feel comfortable and confident in the celebrant you choose. Weddings can sometimes feel overwhelming, so it matters that we build a sense of trust and connection. To help you feel confident in your decision, I am always happy to provide references so you can hear about other people’s experiences working with me.
Background and qualifications
My professional background includes roles in relationship development, sales, account management, project management, marketing and event management. These roles strengthened my ability to work closely with people, communicate clearly, and manage important events with care and attention to detail.
I have also mentored through the Women’s Professional Development Network mentoring program and was nominated for International Women’s Day recognition for my contribution to student wellbeing.
When I first shared with friends and family that I was planning to become a celebrant, the response was: we can absolutely see you doing that. Their encouragement confirmed what I had already begun to feel, how much I wanted to help couples and families celebrate life’s important moments.

- Bachelor of Business Management (Honours)
- Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology), major in Management
- Industry Certificate in Festival and Event Design and Management
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
How I create your ceremony
With so many possibilities available, there are decisions to make. I want to make this as simple as possible, while guiding you through the process with care and confidence so you can enjoy the experience.
I have created a process that walks you through the options and helps us decide what to keep, change or leave out, with examples and questions to guide those decisions. A few legal elements must be included; the rest of the ceremony can be tailored entirely to suit you.
Once we have discussed your preferences, I prepare a personalised ceremony script for you to review and approve.
